FAQ

Therapy is a process that involves you exploring your concerns and issues with a mental health professional. That relationship is so important to the change you want to see in your life. Here is a list of frequently asked questions about what it is like to be a client at our clinic.

What to expect when booking?

We ask that you call our office (662) 371-1711 to book your initial appointment or email admin@wellnesscentersusa.com with a phone number and time that is most convenient for one of our staff to contact you. Our front desk staff are trained to match you with the best fit when it comes to a therapist. However, some clients like to view our clinician photos and profiles on our website to see if anyone seems like a good fit. Our front desk staff will be able to collect insurance information and inform you of important policies before your first session. This process should take about ten minutes.

What insurance do we accept?

Our clinic is currently in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi. However, we are happy to provide you with a super bill for you to submit to other insurance companies for reimbursement.

How much does therapy cost?

Our self-pay rates for clinicians range from $125-$205 based on licensure status, level of education, and experience.

What to expect when I come to my first appointment?

You will be greeted by one of our front desk staff and offered a tour of the clinic. We always have coffee, tea, and water on hand for your enjoyment as you wait in one of our waiting rooms for your appointment time. Prior to your appointment, you will receive an email with important intake forms that must be completed before your appointment. If you are unable to complete these prior to your appointment, you will need to plan to come 30 minutes early.

What if I don’t like my therapist?

Therapy is an ongoing relationship between you and a mental health professional. If you don’t feel like your therapist is a good fit, that is completely normal. Please let one of the front desk staff know or ask to speak to one of our leadership team members about this. Therapists are people and all people are different, and we believe that it is important for you to have a positive connection with your therapist.

Do you provide emotional support animal letters?

While some of our therapists might provide these for established clients, as a general rule, we do not supply emotional support animal letters.

Do you do medication management?

We do not provide medication management, but we have a list of other professionals we routinely refer to for medication needs.

Do you do psychological testing?

We do not provide psychological testing, but we have a list of other professionals we routinely refer to for testing needs.

Can I bring animals?

Due to allergies of some of our clients, we do not allow animals in our clinics unless you have a documented service animal. If you do have a service animal, please notify our front desk staff before your appointment so we can accommodate you.

I am a parent of a college student who is concerned about my child. Can I book them a session with a therapist?

We added this to the FAQ page because, believe us when we say you are not alone. As a part of the community of a college town, we know how difficult these transitional years can be. If your child is 18 years of age or older, you are not able to manage appointments on their behalf without written consent. You are welcome to be on the phone call with your child to set up the initial appointment if they choose. Once they are an established patient, your child’s therapist cannot speak with you without your child’s knowledge and consent.
