“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look at fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ “ -Eleanor Roosevelt
To think that one must strive to be perfect is denying that we are all human. None of us are perfect, and life will never cease to challenge us with difficult experiences, traumas, and encounters. Searching for perfection through these times will lead to defeat, but accepting our flaws and exploring our strengths will lead us to our purpose. Katie believes in building a therapeutic relationship and in creating a safe, comfortable, and honest environment for clients to explore their imperfections and assets to discover their best selves, and to discover comfort through difficult life trials. Her goal is to help clients find their own truth in a trusting relationship of integrity and compassion.
“I have learned through my own experiences that no one can truly make you feel inferior other than yourself.” -Katie
Katie has completed her coursework and clinical hours to achieve her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Katie is under the supervision of Dr. Josh Magruder, LPC-S.
