Taryn is trained in Marriage and Family Therapy and with this training believes that relationships matter. Whether it be the relationship you have with yourself or the family and friends around you, there is something significant about the relationships that inevitably mold us.
Taryn incorporates systems theory using a variety of methods, including mindfulness, emotionally-focused therapy, and internal family systems, to help her clients connect with themselves and others. She is holistic in practice, asking her clients to consider how they can become the healthiest versions of themselves and challenging them to take steps in that direction.
For the past 5 years, she has worked with individuals, couples, and families (as many as you can fit in a room) with a wide array of challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and grief. Despite her experience, she enjoys most, however, working with those who feel comfortable in her presence, placing people before their problems.
"The relationship between my client and I is the most important intervention I can offer."
"We can't have all of life's answers. Rather, we all get stuck at times, left wondering how on earth we can fix what feels stuck or broken."
